I'm not sure how level 40ish HoT is so below Krayt. Vitiate one-shot him along with several other jedi who were considered to be the strongest of their era.
Krayt is like Vader, Nox, Revan, Malgus level so barring mindrape haxx Vitiate shouldn't "pwn" him. Though he will beat him rather swiftly with lightning, I'd think.
