Both of them have clashed with Lord Sidious in a lightning battle although Talzin is likely superior in that regard due to also fending off Dooku's blasts.

Was she shown as having any disadvantage at the end. Was he shown superior in any way. And they fought for a while(even if they were showing us Jar Jar instead), so yeah I don't see how we call that anything but a stalemate.
Perhaps if they fought longer there would have been a winner. But even then, I don't see why we would just jump to the conclusion that winner would be Mace.

No she wasn't.
One of the Nightbrothers was preparing her chamber for the specific reason that she would have been weakened.
But no, it's not really hard to say. Maul wanted to escape together and she literally said that if she lowered her defenses Maul would die, and she wouldn't let that happen.
Also, she wouldn't have died to grevious, because that blast of Lightning that she sent at maul could have been hitting Grevious, Killing him and allowing her to escape.
So basically, Mauls reluctance to leave her cost her her life
Viscus said the ritual could leave Talzin weakened. He also said that the temple was "the heart" of her power, on a planet that amplifies Nightsister magicks as is.
Well, Dooku was weakened due to the Talzin drain and getting zapped by Sidious. A healthy Maul helping Talzin shouldn't be too far off from a weakened Dooku.
