Mace can compete with the Emperor. Krayt has no "wide margin" over someone who can do that, and with the possible exception of Dark Transfer, there's nothing that Mace's Vaapad can't reciprocate/reflect.

Even Legends Mace with Vaapad wasn't invincible with it. In the novelisation Sheev's lightning is described as being too much even for Vaapad. So if Krayt can use similar levels of force lightning or other dark abilities as ROTS Sheev then Vaapad can't do shit imo.

Of course it has limits. Otherwise it'd be a no-limits fallacy. Except that limit is Sidious, who is better than Krayt in everything. Krayt has never summoned Lightning even approaching the potency of Palpatine's, which was literally bending Mace's saber in the RotS novel. Whereas in Legacy: War, Krayt's bursts of Lightning was repelled just fine on Cade's lightsaber.

Fair enough, I don't know much about Krayt.
