Nomi Sunrider was the leader of the Jedi Order, force-severed Ulic Qel Doma, channeled the power of the entire order, and even in an era with Thom, Arca Jeth, and Vodo Baas, she was considered the strongest in the force.
With her Wall of Light technique, darkside force attacks are gonna be overwhelmed.
I am aware of her hype but she have never contended with a powerful Sith Lord [1 on 1]. Therefore, it is difficult to determine her effectiveness in a combat situation involving a powerful opponent.
She severed the connection of Ulic Qel Droma with the Force in circumstantial manner; Ulic was grief-stricken after killing his brother and did not resist Nomi's action.

She was easily curbing Aleema Keto's powerful illusions way before she was in her prime. Along with Vodo she was trapping Ulic in a temp WoL. Her barrier withstood a point blank amulet lightning attack from Ulic whom was massively enraged and had just easily Force repulsed Cay Qel-Droma and Tott Doneeta.
She has enough pre-prime feats to support her accolades and hype, Nomi should win.

I'd like to point out that being able to singlehandedly sever someone isn't exactly unique to Nomi. The Exile can as well. And she's not exactly above Kressh in Force showings.
