-> Plo Koon has better force feats
-> Qui-Gon is one of the most skilled jedi in history
-> Plo Koon scales above one of the most skilled jedi in history
-> Plo Koon's better
Additionally,
-> Koon was reputed to be higher than anyone except for Mace(and Yoda, who much like pre-AOTC Anakin, people randomly assumed couldn't do sh!t untill he was actually seen fighting)
-> Qui-Gon soon died, Koon had a decade plus to grow
Koon's force feats are what exactly? Ragdolling TCW Boba Fett? Pushing away a few droids? Accidentally using a piss weak version of force lightning? Or collapsing a small tunnel, which even non-dedicated force users like Maul can do with ease.
Plo's hype revolves mainly around his piloting skills and his military mind which don't apply here
Casually collapsing a tunnel more than a decade pre-prime, pushing a 20 m pod hunter, and doing the heavy lifting holding up half of a star destroyer's bridge are all better than anything we've seen Qui-Gon do.
Are you trying to argue Maul isn't more powerful than Qui-Gon?
Plo Koon is hyped as one of the most powerful jedi ever, has performed significantly better than Fisto, one of the best swordsmen in history, against a superior version of Ventress despite being injured and was held in higher regard than Qui-Gon when pre-prime.
Plo Koon has better hype and scaling than Qui-Gon does.
Mmm some cute accolades you've got there. Shame none of them matter when you're getting man handled by Savage (who's low-mid council master level at best) despite having the help of many Clones. A post-prime Qui-Gon's performance in TPM against a vastly younger and more physically able opponent, is a lot more impressive than Koon getting his ass handed to him by somebody who is definitely inferior to Maul, even at that time.
Ventress had plenty of time to study the way Kit fought and obviously had a massive form advantage. In his fight with Asajj, Plo had the form advantage and what he did wasn't all too impressive. He fended off her saber attacks and TK'd her away, something even early TCW padawan Ahsoka could do.
There are many examples of characters still being able to hold their own against superior duelists whilst injured and Ventress herself is a great example.
'Even an injured Asajj Ventress was still a match for both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker.' The Official Star Wars Fact File(2014 edition) #67
The clones were taken out immediately after the fighting began. Oppress's TPM Kenobi style victory is nice, but means little when we have Koon only needing a few moves to directly break his guard and injure him. Not that Oppress is tied to Qui-Gon or even TPM Maul in any way.
Reverse scaling is not a thing,
I'm going to need a source for the form advantage being "massive". I'm fully ware of the circumstances, but given Koon did better against a superior version of Ventress, while injured, I'm not feeling inclined to think said circumstances make up for the gap between how they fared vs Ventess. And aside from parrying blows, he also disarmed her of one of her blades. Fisto on the other hand ended up completely defenseless.
A pity Ventress as of this point has done nothing to indicate she's Koon's superior, she's beat fisto though
