The Island ~ Logans Run?

The Island ~ Logans Run?

I recently saw Logans Run for the first time.
I really enjoyed it. It was one of those movies
you can't turn off till you see the end. I kept
thinking where is this going?

Anyhow, I saw the trailer for The Island, and it's story
appears very similar. Even what they called Logan 6 in LogansRun,
there is a Lincoln 6 on The Island.

[SPOILER - highlight to read]: "The Island" is about people being selected to go to an island, harvested for the real world, then killed. "Logans Run" is about a society of perfect people who can only live to a certain age.

There are similarities, but they aren't clones.

Unfortunately, thats what many people are going to be saying, and a reason why many people are not going to see it.
