the smoke monster from the t.v. show Lost has found its way to the same place and time during the Green Lantern film.. there the smoke monster encounters Parallax at the same place where Hal rescued Carol at..
the fight is on as soon as Parallax and the smoke monster see each other..

Hmmmm havent seen parallax, but I bet the opponent is tricked by SM's other-form-taking-on ability when SM appears as a trusted individual from the opponent's past then tricks them into dying horribly or manipulates someone else into killing him on SM's behalf.
