Corvo should take Round 1, possibly, but its close.

Wolverine destroys him in Round 2.

Corvo takes round 1 easy. Stop time and Slow time are indeed different abilities. And Logan would have no defense from a couple razor mines planted on his body, or having Corvo stab him through the skull multiple times before time starts back to normal.

He has no way to win Round 2 at all.

What does "No Incapatation" mean?

He meant "no incapacitation".

Means that they can't win via trapping each other, tying up with a chain, restraining, stunning, etc.

Bone Claw Wolverine is a beast, f*cker survived getting nuked in both Hiroshima and Nagasaki... but if Corvo can slow the time like you guys say, then it should be doable for him to KO Logan for long enough to get that forum win...

That shouldn't be a thing, was it a direct hit, or?

Hiroshima, yes, Logan was in the ground zero:

2. http://s233.photobucket.com/user/wo...ound_1.jpg.html
3. http://s233.photobucket.com/user/wo...ound_1.jpg.html

Nagasaki happened mostly off-panel, was mentioned in Death of Wolverine mini-series, when Richards noted his bones are still mildly radioactive from that. August 9, 1945, three days after Hiroshima.

I was under the assumption that his healing factor was a side effect of him getting Adamantium bones.

I was clearly wrong.

His healing factor is his mutant power, he's had it ever since he was a boy --- specifically after he witnessed Thomas Logan murdering John Howlett. Such traumatic experiences help trigger mutations off earlier sometimes.

Adamantium only slows it down somewhat, as HF needs to struggle extra; inducing a molecular change in the metal, making it adamantium beta, dealing with the adamantium poisoning and blood cells producement. There are more details about it, but I won't bore you with those. It gets pretty complicated, anyway.

The only (major) positive side-effects of adamantium were the claws, originally. But that got retconned and now we must pretend that he's always had bone claws, even if he wasn't using them in the flashback appearances.

Adamantium Wolverine has recovered from nuclear-like explosions, too. Like in Venom mini-series or when Nitro was drugged on MGH and blew up the area.

Him surviving the twin cities without Adamantium should be due to his deal with Azrael the angel of death.

I see what you're saying, but the truth is, comic book characters are famous for their absurd feats. Guggenheim had plenty of weird ideas that didn't work out, like trying to retcon Blade; pretending he always had the entire Daywalker powerset laughing out loud

One of the first things Wolverine did after losing his magical immortality, was blowing himself to shit with tons of C4 explosives, remember? Get Mystique arc.

He was supposed to get depowered after The Best There Is series, too - being able to survive getting shot only once or twice at best - it got ignored, too.

When his skin came off and he was left with just his adamantium skeleton.

He had his skeleton there, correct? If not, then ignore the rest of this, because even after losing his deal, his skeleton means he can tank pretty much anything regardless.

My point was, that without the Adamantium, he should have been completely vaporized if he was at ground zero. No matter how good his HF is, he's simply not durable enough without his skeleton to survive a point blank nuclear explosion. Buuuut, he pointed out how his deal with Azrael meant shit that should kill him, didn't. So it would make sense that was the reason.

He did.

Keep in mind Laura and Daken - or even Creed (his muscles' and bones' durability is much greater, though) - should've been vaporized by massive explosions, too... but haven't. Comics.

Like I said, I see what you're saying. Just don't believe there's a point at trying to make sense out of it, superpowers are superpowers. If Wolverine got resurrected, had a functional healing factor again and no adamantium, I wouldn't be one bit surprised to see him somehow surviving a nuke again.

The first three instances I can think of at the moment:

  • When he got blasted by amped Nitro. Wolverine v3, first Guggenheim's arc. It was a tie-in to Civil War.

  • When he got zapped by Suit. Venom mini-series by Daniel Way.

  • When he fell into a vat of molten metal. Wolverine Annual Deathsong from 2007.
