Deadpool game

Deadpool deserves his own mercenary type thing game.

How cool would that be. eek!

What would you have the levels like and the plot and stuff?

eg.

My version
you are hired to go round killing political figures and stuff like that. It would free roaming levels like Grand Theft Auto games. And you get loads of guns and his samurai swords. And you get to play as Siryn Or Agent X as well for one or two levels........... eek!

Weasel can help out and at one point you have to fight Bullseye!!!!! and on another Wolverine!!!

eek!

Ok so what is your version of the game like?

Deadpool isn't well known enough to warrant a game or film

not yet anyway

ask the average guy in the street about Deadpool and they will either not a a clue what you are on about, or they'll talk about the Clint Eastwoond film

Which is exactly why he should have one. Marvel doesn't have to concentrate on big name properties when they develop out-of-comics projects.

Look at Jak and Daxter, God of War, Devil May Cry, Onimusha--they were built from the ground up and became legendary, and that's all within recent years. If they took the same route with a Deadpool game, boil him down to who he is in the comics, make sure the story is close enough--or generic enough, in regards to his origins, they can be free to concentrate on making a sweet ass game.

Really, what's not to love, and it fits so perfectly with the videogame story and play format. Afflicted with a crippling disease, a top mercenary offers his services if this advanced para-military organization can cure him. They do, but it has unforeseen side effects, he heals superquick, and has enhanced speed, strength, stamina etc. But it drives him nucking futs. Now, he's the crazy guy merc, he's the guy you call to do the jobs none of the other insane idiots will do, and he does them well. Devil May Cry action, with some Onimusha swordplay--some Splinter Cell/Metal Gear Solid stealth levels, who knows what else, it's Deadpool, anything and everything is possible.

Cool. Nice one ScarletSpider, bu if you were creating the game what would it be like? Who would he fight? Would there be any additional characters? eg Siryn or Agent X ?

Yeah. No one knew who Blade was, outside of a few Marvel super-fans. And they were good movies, save the last one which was...dumb, which made a lot of money.

A Deadpool game, play wise, should be like somewhat DMC/God of War-ish in game play, since that's just a great set up that cannot be beat, in my opinion. Obviously, they need to tweak it, maybe even rebuild it to suit the main character, but it needs to control well and have lots of cool combos and shit like you can do with DMC and GoW. I would also throw in some Punisher elements, like interrogations/torture and stuff. He should have the ability to use pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, swords, knives, shurikens, grenades, unarmed combat and pick up random things from the environment to use.

They should use an original story for the game, take elements from previous comic storylines, but don't outright mimic one. If possible, get some of the writers who've handled him to give some input. In the game he should clash with Weapon X and SHIELD. I think he should also go up against Arcade--Arcade's modus operandi would allow for some really neat levels and stuff to play on, and maybe some stuff with Loki--just as a change of pace from the usual merc stuff.

Bosses: Bullseye, Punisher, Taskmaster, Typhoid Mary, T-Ray, Wolverine, Cable, Sabretooth, Garrison Kane, Shen Kuei--The Cat, and who knows?

It should be Deadpool wreaking havoc anywhere possible and kicking everyone's ass. It should be fun, intuitive and need continuity in no way, while still introducing other characters with long histories with Deadpool to please the fans.

Well... if Blade got a movie then it isn't impossible for DP to get a game

Cool and what would the game set up be like? GTA? God of War style? Who are the bosses? What's the basic plot?

Pre-Requisite - the loading screens should cycle between Deadpool with an oh-so-hilarious witty remark, or Outlaw.

Usually Outlaw.

Hell, screw Deadpool.

Also: GTA would work better for Agent X. Maybe have missions where you interact with guys like Spider-man.

Deadpool, while the same general idea(a mercanary) would fit more DMC style. Maybe multiple characters who play differently. Taskmaster has a series of different heroes you copy and level up skills, Outlaw punches, kicks, and shoots(think DMC 1 - Dante with the Ifrit gauntlets) and Wade hacks, slashes, and shoots.

Enemies could range from generic thugs to mutated freaks to demons to robots.

And once again, gratuitous shots of Outlaws chest. And lots of them.

I wonder how we could use Deadpools breaking of the Fourth Wall in a game. Obviously the Deadpool character should have to know he was in a game being controlled.

Screw that, have him make wise-ass remarks in-game. stick out tongue If he starts talking to the player and everyone else looks at him like he's nuts, that would be perfect. big grin

And DMC style is definitely the way to go. You have to handicap his healing factor (or make the game really really tough) to keep it fair though. Though Arcade as a boss is intriguing. Especially a few 'Murderworld' levels.
