Which Comic-Book Character Desperately Needs A Remix/Makeover/
My pick is Aquaman. I'm sorry but the "magic" hand (which led to a nationwide joke about Arthur's nighttime activities) ain't cutting it.
My idea for the new and improved Aquaman:
Give him a ****ing trident. Seriously what kind of under the sea ruler doesn't have a trident? And not just any trident. Make it Poseidon's trident. With magical abilities.
Give him an accurate description of his powers. For god's sake a person who can withstand nearly 1000 tons per SQUARE inch of pressure daily should obviously be nigh-invulnerable and super-strong. And a person who can resist the water's friction to travel past the speed of sound underwater is very fast on land.
Give him some armour. Regal armour. Not a crappy costume that would attract Bugs Bunny. An armour with a flowing cape. He's a KING for god's sake.
Give him control over water. Make him a powerhouse. Make him have complete control over water. What the hell is talking to fish gonna do against Mongul?
Give him some cool sidekicks. Have him have the ability to "summon" magical creatures in Final Fantasy-esque matter. A giant Godzilla stomping the hell all over the Fearsome Five.
Make another remix for another character that desperately needs it.
What the flip was the astonishing costume all about? The best costume he had was te Ultimate Version. Give him back his 90's one where you can see his hair for cryin out loud!
Yeah he basically is a mini Sabertooth. In the new Weapon X mini he did have his voice back [timeline is messed, not sure if that's after the incident], but he also gets killed in it.

My pick would be Alpha Flight. They had some great stories and werw a great team. Well that's before their characters were mutilated and had incredible dumb stories that make no sense. All their members are strong, but very underated. If written correctly, they can he the heavy hitters of the MU
I want him to be more like the ultimate version... but a real powerhouse.
Suggestions :
Godly Powers:
Limited Invulnerability. Cannot be pierced by bullets, cannot survive nukes, Skin as dense as say Diamond.
Immortal Aura, This magical and spiritual effect allows a God to almost instantly heal any wound. E.G. Healing Factor on a Vandal Savage level.
Strength: In the myth he was the only one Strong enough to lift his Hammer, therefore i want him on a Hyperion level. E.G. Strength enough to move Tectonic plates.
Godly Awareness = Spider Sense / Cosmic Awareness. All Gods should be mentally connected to their environment. This not only alerts him of danger, it will protect him from telepathic attacks.
Immense Fighting Skills. Where talking Achilles in Troy.
Super Speed; Gods reactional times are far superior to humans. This can only be used in a reflex sense. E.G. No Super speed running, just immensely fast body movements (E.G. Like the Matrix).
God Force /Anti Force, the ability to direct the Godly essence as a weapon. (Planetary Destructive capabilities)
Control Over The Elements:
Ice Breathe
Ability to Transform into Lightning. He can move through the air in this form
Projection Of the Living Lightning (Magically enhanced Lightning)
Ability to create Storms that can effect entire planets.
Moljnir:
Created from 5th Dimensional Material it grants Thor a variety of Hyper Dimensional abilities.
Such as:
3 Dimensional Space Manipulation(Time manipulation allowing greater speed, manipulation of gravity + Telekinesis granting him fight At F.T.L speeds).
Teleportation(on a Level of Blink) + creation of Wormholes. This not only allows him to go anywhere in the multi-verse he can see anywhere in the universe, including through walls etc.
Intangibility (On a level of Vision), which is used regularly in combat.
Absorption and Re direction of other attacks (E.G. Like it already does)
Gravity manipulations means it can also be made almost Infinitely Dense, allowing to inflict Damage on a Planetary Level.
Also enhances his already formidable powers over the elements.
Using these Extra Dimensional powers, Odin has bestowed Moljnir with the regular enchantments. E.G. the Infinite Density means it cannot be picked by any who aren't worthy.
Weaknesses:
Unable to Fly without Moljnir.
As Thor is a 3Dimensional character with a 3D concept of life, his understanding of Moljnirs powers are limited. Little does he know that he could become the most powerful being in the universe. He also can get lost in 5D space, and can be harmed by the 5D powers of the hammer
The enchantment bestowed on the hammer is unpredictable and can sometimes become a serious problem to Thor.
Use of God Force blast, weakens Thor dramatically, to the point where he looses all his Godly powers including his immortality.
Warrior Madness = The release of Thor's Dark-side.
Without moljnir Thor is not as durable and can be seriously harmed by the more powerful opponents.
U-Foes. Not that much needs to be done to make the over, just revitalize them, use the more, make them fresher--basically continue their appearances from Spider-Man: Breakout.
Give them a team look, a logo, basic duds for Vector, Iron Clad and X-Ray, and have Vapor mess with her appearance to display some insignia around her. A team that powerful shouldn't be relegated to C-list status.
SHIELD offers to cure them--for limited time periods, as long as they go to work for SHIELD, at first more Black Ops stuff, but then public, trying to garner a Thunderbolts-esque appeal "these were badguys, but we've helped make them goodguys" to which the public always goes "aww...that's nice" especially with a sob story like they have. Using Stark/Pym/Richards tech and all the other stuff SHIELD has around, they can give the U-Foes a two hour stretch of humanity, and when they're not human, they put them in power-inhibiting collars and the like.
They don't want to be good guys, but working with SHIELD shows them a really dark side of governmental agencies, and on a mission for SHIELD, they go AWOL, Utrect disables the collars and tracking devices and take over a couple uninhabted islands near Australia. Utrecht had rigged a data transfer from SHIELD computers to an old satelite of his (he used to be insanely wealthy) and threatens to give all the information of the more risque SHIELD operations to the public. SHIELD lets them go, blackmailed into giving them a media send off, and they're saluted as heroes.
Then they start getting immigrants, people using the last of their finances to get away and start a new life, to break away from everyone else, like their "heroes" the U-Foes did. So what do the U-Foes do, they're now the idols of thousands and the leaders of a new island commune, messed up people come for their help, not realizing the U-Foes are scarred even worse than they. What can the U-Foes do? Can they actually be decent people for a change?
Yeah I think Ive made him a bit too powerful. The problem is with extra Dimensional tech, one becomes almost omnipotent. I just like this idea as it gives the concept of gods and Moljnir a 20th century make over.
Thumbs up on M man hunter. If they are going to keep him in his current role, i think he needs to be powered down physically. Let him have the other abilities, but loose the Super Strength and the invulnerability. He's currently too dam powerful . Yet he is generally used as second string character.
Thats true, a few years ago they upped his powers but they did it too much and Spidey stood no chance gainst him so the degraded him to what he was originally........
