Another factor to consider about "taking a nuke" is, How powerful was the nuke? The smallest battlefield nukes are about 10 tons TNT (.01 kT), like the MOAB conventional bomb. Not a walk in the park, but hardly a megaton, or even the equivalent of the Hiroshima bomb, or even one kiloton. And as I mentioned in a previous thread, distance is a big factor, thanks to the inverse-square-law effect. At ten feet away (as opposed to one foot away), you get only 1/100 the power of the blast, and even That's if you're surrounding the bomb, to absorb all its energy, otherwise at least half that energy is radiating away from you.
"Taking a nuke" sounds impressive, but it can be misleading.

of course, i just wondered about how many pounds was used... a hell of alot was used in vietnam, with varying success... logan would have had to be smack in the middle of it for it to do major damage...
Nuke, napalm, whatever. He was reduced to skeleton, yet his pants stayed on. That is a feat in itself.

you can make a pretty good home made napalm substitute from petrol, washing powder and magnesium powder it becomes a jelly you can paint on - not as funny as glycerol, nitric and sulphuric acid - which of course is nitro glycerine - make sure you let it activate in a fridge otherwise boom.
Less dangerous iodine and ammonia makes a movement sensitive explosive paste ffor practical jokes - damn funny stuff

Yes, he was fighting a villan in a nuclear reactor that was in meltdown. His flesh was slowly getting disintegrated but his healing factor kept him going through it.
