It's my first comprehensive read about Kabbalah - putting what they claim aside, I don't see the Phoenix connection.

Claremonts Kabbalah like his Omega point is rubbish - and means nothing - the Kabbalah is about balance and all things pointing to the centre. The pillars represent a map not a hierarchy. laughing out loud

I think Whirly is just being a troll thread starter. Starting threads to specifically make other members OPINIONS look bad. He always does this. He bashes people and their opinions in indirect and subtle ways.

For someone who got theire knowledge from endsong i sure as hell showed you a thing or two about ins and outs of Kaballah. Chris Claremont is not actually claiming parallels with the Phoenix Force in Kabbalah, is he? Or is Galactic Storm interpreting that?
Claremont was running out of gas on X-Men by the end of the 80's - his vacation away and return hasn't done much for me. Joss Whedon's work is a fun read, though.
