I used to read comics all the time and Cap was one of the best hand to hand fighters it was. What happened ?
I remember reading a comic with the taskmaster in it, saying cap was the best fighter he ever seen. Coming from him, thats saying alot.

He is still ne of the best. He is Batman's equal IMO..........Batman is very slightly more skilled whereas cap is very slightly better physically...........

Steve can defeat Bruce because his reaction time is just slightly quicker. But Bruce respects Steve because he's a thinker and strategist, like him.
