We're all tired of the same powers over and over again. Flight is almost the only way anyone gets around nowadays. I'd like to see a more unique way of getting from A to B. As well as we'd all like to see certain powers out there. Like for example:
Quantom Skip control:
Essentially, someone with this power could make the same second happen an unlimited amount of times. So, they launch the same punch a thousand times on someone, without actually expending the energy of a thousand punches. By using the same power, they could take the same step a million times and reach a far away place without actually expending much energy.
Ah, but not quite. You see, the Flash has near unlimited speed. A quantom skipper can simply repeat the same action a number of times. Its a power which has to be used inovatvly, and it doesn't make the user as unbeatable as Flash. Its a power which is more interesting because it offers little defence wise, meaning the character with the power has to use their wits.
With the quantom skip control the character could then slow down or completely stop a persons motion by making him repeat the same position a million times. Still sounds like flash.
Actually it is a pretty cool power from a story point of view. The Flash is multi-dimensional in his speed abilities: he can do a lot of different things. But "skipping" is very specific. It means, if you are gonna repeat a particular moment, ask why. What do you hope to gain? What might be unintended consequences? It means you have to ask the same questions that you would of a character who could go back in time and maybe change things.
This woulda been a good Twilight Zone episode.

Nono...not characters breaking the 4th wall. Powers. I've been reading enough comics that I feel like I should have freaking laser vision or something.
I'd like to see Cable either have all of his so callled " potential " or none at all. That'd be a concept I could handle. I'm tired of the inbetween God-like status.
I think that quantam blahblahblah is kinda one sided, cuz if the guy gets off one hit, its over no matter what, cuz if I hit hulk a billion times without him growing in strength, I'm gonna win that fight, despite the obvious differences...
I had an idea a few years back about a guy who would actually touch an element-fire, water, earth...- and gain a certain ability from it, fire would give him a short burst of Humantorch power, ice, Iceman, earth, maybe he'd become like Terra, etc... I think it could make for a pretty fun storyline and good power-to-intelligence ratio... what do y'all think?
I'd like to see the Silver Surfer in psychotherapy, so he can break through the mental barrier which causes him to tumble from the sky every time his board is knocked out from under his feet.
Therapist: "With all your powers, why do you feel you need a board to fly?"
Surfer: "I do not know. I just...I just feel so naked without it..."

I actually created a power for a mutant in my Comic strip for highschool, that I've never seen before, but it might have been used.
It's basically the power to control time with in his hands. By that I mean whatever he touches ages, or de-ages. It becomes older or younger. So if he touched someone they would become an old man or even die depending on how long he touched them. Or if he touched someone they could become a little baby. It was such a plot device for me because if someone died, he could touch them and make their body "de-age" to the point they were alive.
I actually had a good back story for him as well. He kept his sisters and friends eternally youthful. He would de-age them whenever they grew old. Because he himself was immortal.
