What is the difference between alternate universes and different dimensions
What is the difference between alternate universes and different dimensions. For instance Shuma Gorath comes from another dimension, if this means it comes from an alternate universe, there should be this Shuma Gorath in marvel 616 and the 616 version in marvel 616

alternate universes are just that, and different dimensions are in the same timeline. like apokoplips exists in a different dimesnion but the same timeline as the rest of DC
