I was tempted to pick up the prologue today, but I figure I'll catch the TPB's a bit down the road. I got too many comics I'm picking up at the moment.

Well it's just a Prologue. Hopefully the main Annihilation mini and the separate minis will be better.
The art is by Scott Kolins right?.. I never been a big fan of his.
I Will be buying the Super Skrull mini and the Silver surfer one. Never been interested in Nova or the other guy.
Anyone know who the main ANNIHILATION Mini artist is going to be?
The cover art is some of the best I've seen in years. I did think it was you know who though because of the name. Is Thanos going to have anything to do with it though?
He'll probably join up with [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Annihilus (which has been confirmed already IIRC). Then at some point he'll overthrow everyone and reveal that he orchestrated the whole entire thing.
If this story has anything to do with thanos, than it will be great, Thanos has never had a bad mini, nor series, and is always one of marvels most insteresting and deep characters to read on. And it wasnt that bad, yeah the art sucked, but.....it couldve been worse, we'll just have to waigt and read the minis.

NOVA – written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning (Legion of Super-Heroes) and art by Kev Walker (EXILES)
RONAN THE ACCUSER – written by Simon Furman (DEATH’S HEAD, TRANSFORMERS UK) and art by Jorge Lucas (INHUMANS, COLOSSUES: BLOODINE)
ANNIHILATION – the 6-issue coda to the event that gathers all the players together, written by Keith Giffen, penciled by Scott Kolins and Ariel Olivetti!
How will it effect? I don't think it will. It's going to be it's own Separate event. With characters who don't even live on earth and have no reason to be there.
I thought it was okay. I was a bit surprised by the choice of villain but am open minded about it. In the past year we've seen wonders done with characters like Catman, Drax and Bucky. Any character has his chance at stardom when written well.
I liked the Prologue, except for Kolins' art, which does, and always has in my opinion, been horrid shit. Although, I enjoy Nova and other c-list characters, so much of the pleasure I derived from it was just from seeing these underutilized characters. Apart from that, I'm not too put off by the villain, and think he should have been bumped up to the big leagues long ago. If you read his attributes and profile in the back of the Prologue, he's pretty powerful and in the hands of a good and determined writer could be a serious threat.
So what's the basic story of annihilation?? Other than Annihilus being the bad guy and Nova whupping the crap outa someone (looks like Terrax or something)?
And since when is Nova herald-level? He did so many crossovers with Spidey in his early days I just assumed he was less powerful.
