Obviously they ignore the fact that Superman would speedblitz both their heads to another continent before they got a spell off. That's just uninformed fanboy rhetoric taking the guise of an enlightened and balanced article. Notice how they didn't really provide a counter-argument....a 'must' for any fair article of this nature. They merely outlined why Superman could lose. Whoever wrote is no more qualified to determine the outcome of the fight than we would be.

And beyond that, they're wrong. lol

roll eyes (sarcastic)

Also wrong forum...moving.

Even more funny is the reader comments. The first one completely ignores Gandalf/Superman and says something to the effect of "What if Superman fought Goku or Vegeta? That would pwn!"

What's with the DBZ people?? I honestly don't understand the allure of that fight, but I found the response amusing.

It said Gandalf is immortal so that probably wouldn't work, I dunno I hate the Lord Of The Rings.

It depends on how Harry starts off though, if he has the invisability cloak on he might be able to get some spells off and win.

wow, its the one they wrote prior to the magic one

here are some awesome quotes from it....

"A fight between Wolverine and Superman, for example, would be like an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. Superman is stronger and faster, but Wolverine has his adamantium skeleton and claws. Ultimately, the outcome depends on how strong and sharp adamantium really is and whether it can stand up to Superman's strength and heat vision. Wolverine's healing factor might give him a slight edge, but not if Superman hurls him into the sun."

"Professor X and Jean Grey -- even pre-Phoenix Jean Grey -- are ideally suited to fighting him telepathically. Both are powerful psychics, and Superman has no defense against psychic attacks."

"With a little luck, Rogue could touch Superman and absorb his powers. If she held on long enough, she could kill him, but it's unlikely that Superman would allow her to do so."

"With members like Rogue, Professor X and Wolverine, it seems obvious that a team of X-Men could overpower Superman with ease."

"Another Marvel character who might be a worthy foe for Superman is Galactus, also known as the Devourer of Worlds."

"However, if Superman is invulnerable to the Power Cosmic, it wouldn't matter how big or strong Galactus is. Superman would be able to outmaneuver him, and eventually Galactus's power would wane as he became hungry for another world to devour."

Im saying the author of this is FAR LESS qualified than any of us in determining the outcome of superman fights

the one about jedis is good to

And you just forgot that Superman has senses that are better then Daredevils...he's able to hear a whisper from another planet, you don't think he could not register his heartbeat?

Well, Kal could still hear Harry enough to pwn him, not to mention him still having the time to kill him once Harry starts his spell-incantation. And if he maintains a respectable distance away and waits for the right moment, I've never seen Harry cast something with enough spread effect to hurt Supes at a distance.

As for Gandalf, yes technically he's an immortal. But his body is still a mortal one (albeit a rather sweet one). Thus, he could only temporarily "die" but for the purposes of the battle, I think it would have to count as a Supes win. And no disrespect intended to Gandalf...LotR is one of the few things I might be more well-versed in than comics.

Truly sad stuff. By that logic Wolverine is on par with Galactus, and maybe better....since it has Supes winning the Galactus confrontation, and basically saying that Supes/Wolverine could go either way. Just more fuel for the ignorant. *sighs*

But I think this just solidifies KMC comics as being the single best authority of super-people battles on the planet. And everyone else on the planet....not so much. cool

They didn't really fight directly like they implied.

Wolverine just had to destroy Galactus' machine.

You're right...Goku/Vageta would PWN Superman so hard and fast that it wouldn't be worth watching/reading
