Johns' Run on The JSA

Well, I've finally got round to collecting the TPBS of most of these and I must say they're very good. (I just read Black Reign last night)
What do y'all think of the Johns/ Goyer reinvention of the team? Personally, I now find that they're by far the greatest superhero teaam and WAY beyond any JLA or Titans work i've read in years.
