DC's NEXT WEEKLY SERIES "COUNTDOWN" TO DEBUT IN MAY
While DC apparently held it from the online release of their May solicitations last week, it appears as if the publisher’s next big weekly DC Universe project will debut in May, and will be released in reverse order for one year until another unnamed DC event.
Called Countdown, Direct Market comic book retailers have received the solicitation for the first four issues in a preview of the full Diamond Previews catalog arriving in stores next week. Here is the text sent to retailers…

When a character dies in COUNTDOWN 51, it sets off an unexpected ripple that will touch virtually every character in the DC Universe.
The COUNTDOWN is on…so begins the end!

This project presumably is the centerpiece of the teaser image released by DC a few weeks ago.
Look for more information on Countdown when it’s available.
So it looks like we have another weekly series coming our way...
I don't know if this has been posted yet. If it has then I apologize for double posting.
Plus...Paul Dini is going to be the writer? I'm sooooo there!

If you notice there are different writers and different artist in each issue. So it should be interesting.
But I wonder who is the character that gets killed.
I think its the Atom, since he is the only one in the teaser picture who appears dead but to the best of our knowledge is not.
That'd be like killing Superbo..............................oh.
But on the real, they wouldn't kill Jimmy.
That'd be like killing Perry, simply to get a new Editor on the Paper, and one who wouldn't be easy on Clark.
That way we get more character driven stories, that explore how Perry really saw Clark, and the favoritism of Lois thing. But that won't happen.
