Ultimate Destruction would probably be the best, there were so much you could do, unlike the others which forces you through a narrow corridor, which they called the story mode.
And Mugen tops Marvel vs Capcom, and I'm tierd of Mugen already.
Also, Spider-Man 2....solely for the amazing swing mechanics and freedom to roam around Manhattan. The game itself was "meh" but the free-roaming was the absolute sh*t.
second on the old x-men arcade game. it had cyclops, wolverine, storm, colossus, nighcrawler, and...dazzler??? and why did juggernaught have a bazooka?
Not my favorite but still a little more fun than X-men.
I actually own an X-men arcade and it's a pain to move but fun as all get out to play when friends are over. Although one does tend to get sick of it after a while. Still...fun game.
1. Marvel Super Heroes [Saturn] - The second fighting game using Marvel characters made by Capcom. I felt as though it gave more for the character's styles.
2. Marvel Super Heroes War of the Gems [SNES] - Most people missed this because it came at the end of the SNES's life. It's a spectacular game. Fun and more time consuming than you'd think.
3. Spiderman 2 [does it matter?] - This was the first one to offer real free roaming and made you truly feel like a super hero. Awesome work.
4. X-men Legends - First successful attempt at a RPG and it's pretty darn good too. Probably the best addition for this was the Danger Room. I enjoyed destroying my friends as Sabertooth. Heh.
5. Marvel vs Capcom [Dreamcast] - all the benefits of tag-team play on a faster loading system. Last of the great Vs games. When MVC2 came out they got rid of Medium punches and kicks and made the games waaaayyyy too wild. It was more of a who-can-make-an-epileptic-sieze first game than a fighting game.
6. Xmen [Arcade] - and they never came up with a better system. Go fig.
7. Captain America and the Avengers [Arcade] - Yeah, I know they came out with a port for the SNES but it stank. The original arcade's the only one worth your time.
8. The Death and Return of Superman [SNES] - Someone had to like it and that person is me.
9. Maximum Carnage [SNES] - Great music and a really solid beat-em-up. They made a sequal to this after a while but it sucked butt. This is the better.
10. JLA Total Justice [SNES] - I feel it was very true to each of the characters. However...it is a little crappy, but if you want truly crappy then you'll have to find the Lobo fighting game.
