New Spidey Animated series

Didn't see it listed and since the Wolvie cartoon seems to be new news when I heard about it some time ago. I'm going to take a gamble that this might be new to some people as well.

Here's some concept art-

Not sure why they're going with "nerdy" Gwen...

and some of the cast has been listed, tentatively-

Peter Parker/Spider-Man - Voice by Josh Keaton
Mary Jane Watson - Voice by Vanessa Marshall
Eddie Brock/Venom - Voice by Ben Diskin
Harry Osborn - Voice by James Arnold Taylor
J. Jonah Jameson - Voice by Daran Norris
Gwen Stacy - Voice by Lacey Chabert
Norman Osborn/The Green Goblin
Aunt May Parker
Uncle Ben Parker
Flash Thompson
Betty Brant
Liz Allan

With Greg Weisman in charge and Matt Wayne (Of JLU fame) on board, I have high hopes for this series.

Why are the animated versions of these characters all anorexic? Even the new wolverine cartoon and the ff4 cartoon are the same.

The animation looks rather DC cartoonish...

Not really, looks vaguely realistic build to me, at least for teenagers.

Nerdy Gwen is rather cute though . Heh.

You DO realise that 'The Batman' is made for 8-10 year olds , right ?

Legion I can understand, though some of it can be pretty good. Delegating obscure (to the general public) DC into a cartoon ? Genius .

Maybe for a 13 year old... It looks like a living skeleton has hijacked Spideys suit.

I've seen skinnier people. It seems their trying to give Parker a overall Bishouen feeling.....

No. Just no.

He would need more make up and flowing robes for that to work.

True.

But then look at that Dark General in SM , the first one who got his ass kicked for being incompetent. General grey suit and short hair, yet i've seen several people define his as 'Bishie'.

Possibly. The blond one who catches the Tiara on the first try and gives SM a '***** please' speech/look.

Definitely something wrong with Spidey's legs.

This looks suspiciously similar to Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane. I'll make sure to watch it.

I don't think Peter looks like a traditional "loser" like he did when he was younger.
