Actually they were supposed to die...but they didn't.

You can't have a big GL story like the Sin Corps without one of the premier GL's getting killed/messed up. Hal has already been down that road and Guy and John, no offense to them, but their deaths probably wouldn't cause too much of a stir.

better than being in marvel where a hero dies and in the same day another one who died the week before is revived. Not To mention they were about to kill Captain atom off twice, but changed they're minds at the last second.

Well that could be considered either Nightwing or Robin, Robin was created before 1950 but he is now Nightwing, whereas Tim Drake wasn't but he is now Robin
