Apocalypse, whats the point?
I'm confused. Why would Marvel design a character like Rhino and Apocalypse if they get owned every time?
I mean you got Rhino who can lift almost a 100 tons and it seems like nothing when you face him.
Apocalypse is pretty cool, sick name and cool costume. But whats the point of giving this if he keeps losing, and the only one fight I remember him winning was against Dracula, and in that he was badly owned and he needed to cheap shot his way to victory.

Apoc has ploughed through the X men when he was weakened, he may have not been given the showings recently but he has some pretty good showings under his belt.
Rhino defeats himself through his own stupidity, thats why when he had his intelligence boosted to genius levels he pwned Spiderman.
As for why characters who get jobbed out exsist, its simple, you set up a villiam who seems to be awesomely powerful, the hero beats him and he seems all the more badass.

Every villain exists to be beaten by the hero. It's there job.

So your saying that they will get a good showing?

Apoc has lots of good showings, its only in recent years he has dropped off.
Rhino has a few decent showings but hes mainly a jobber hard to believe he held his own against the Hulk a few times in his early history.
Rhino is always going to be the super strong idiot, thats his character, its a shame cause I really like Rhino!

Some people don't realize when Apoc does get pwn, how he gets pwned can be a great feat.

So this is a thread to ask why a couple characters have losing records?
Is there a valid reason I should keep this open?

I guess I should have gone to the comic book questions right?

Probably. But it just seems like asking "Why is this like it is?" can't encourage too much discussion beyond "Well....that's the way it's written".
In any case, no worries. I'm closing this, but it wasn't like you were breaking rules or anything, so I'm not upset.
