just picked up a few issues of this on-going comic and found it to be pretty good, curious on who is reading this and what you think of it! story, art and as a whole.
DC Comics
Writer(s): Jim Starlin
Penciller(s): Ron Lim
Inker(s): Rob Hunter
After a seemingly endless war, things are getting even worse for the planets of Rann and Thanagar. A long-forgotten religious cult has resurfaced on Thanagar, and the people of Rann still worship the deadly Lady Styx. To make matters worse, a fanatic strapped with explosives threatens to upset the delicate balance between the two planets, setting in motion events that will once again bring together DC's greatest cosmic heroes: Adam Strange, Comet, Starfire, Hawkman, Starman, Chief Justice Max, Tigorr, the Weird and many more!
The problem I have with this mini is the extensive amount of characters in the story. It's like they made some kind of Cosmic Gumbo and whoever gets to pwned their enemies gets the spotlight.
Aside from that...it's shaping up to be better than the previous Rann/Thannagar conflict.
Both one shots of Adam and Hawkman have been so-so.

I actually really like that element... they seem to be setting it up to be a series of unlikely scenarios that are slowly connecting all these random characters...
The fast paced addition of characters is highlighted, and it's leading to something... hopefully a new cosmic team.
I like that it has nothing to do with FC. Starlin doesn't have to worry about getting crucified for not being in continuity. Which was DotNG's problem. Decent story, but confusing as hell in relation to other stuff.
It's not bad. For being a cast of B-listers, none of whom I follow regularly, I'm surprisingly intrigued with it.
Screw making a team though. It wouldn't sell for long and would end up with a hack writer. But I think a mini like this is a perfect way to give them the spotlight for a while.
yeah this seems to be coming together nicely. i doubt they would last as a team. maybe a few random team ups between them along the year for a good random space adventure but nothing like the JLA.
i like the interaction between Starman and Bizzaro. im glad Bizzaro is something of a hero this time around. he is seriously limited in his potential as a villian. a funny idiot hero? much better.
