* a thread dedicated to the All New X-men currently having two issues out already and the Uncanny X-men which would debut on February 2013...
* i'll start off...
All New X-men #1
* it was revealed that Beast is "mutating" and dying while at it... and he actually prays to God that he may do something worthy before he dies... but his condition is kept from the others...
* when Beast arrived and invites the O5 of the past to the present... saying he needs the past Scott to stop the present Scott from committing mutant genocide...
* O5 is still unconvinced, until Beast dropped the bomb and said Scott had killed Xavier in the present time... and from there, the O5 went with Beast to the present time... with Jean wondering why the school was now named after her...
* Wolverine talks to the O5, with Jean managing to develop her telepathy, inducing Wolverine to sleep... revealing Wolverine's thoughts are disgusting and how he hates Scott... from there, they learned that the present Cyclops is all over the globe recruiting new mutants... hearing the news on TV that there's a new mutant at the University of Dallas, the O5 impulsively took the X-Jet, hoping get there and confront the present Cyclops...
* lol on Wolverine's --- "It was her. It was really her. Jeannie..." --- freakin' pedophile moment...
* not really a fan of Brian Michael Bendis but i'm hoping this f***ed-up yet interesting storyline will turn up well... Stuart Immonen's art is pretty decent, i just hope he will also take over the art on Uncanny X-men, but that was already assigned on Chris Bachalo (i hate his weird art)...
It's a genius idea really.
Personally the kids reacted in just the way I would have imagined them too when confronting the future team.
I can't wait to see how present Scott reacts.
I find the fraudulence on Beast's part quite unappealing. Scott's only noticeable crime in that entire clusterphuck of an event known as AvX was killing Xavier yet Hank wants to purposely lie that he's bringing some sort of "Mutant Apocalypse" in the future? His definition of the term is pretty strange then seeing how Scott's actions indirectly resulted in the reignition of the mutant race. Or I guess he probably liked the times when mutants were an endangered species on the brink of extinction. /shrug
Heh. Don't expect it to last. I'm as surprised as anyone that I was intrigued reading through that scan synopsis. I'm a sucker for time travel though. As soon as the "O5" thing ends, my interest will likely go with it.
Yeah Beast was definitely manipulating the kids when he spouted that nonsense. The excuse is he is desperate because he is "apparently" dying and needs the O5 to make Scott see the light.
True. This Jean can hang around for a while and recreate that love triangle that defined the 90's X-men drama. History has already been ripped apart though thanks to Beast's intrusion and hopefully an interesting solution can come from it.

Hasn't stopped Logan before. And Scott would aim for Jean just so Logan won't get her.
I predict Jean giving them both the finger and going back in time and saying something along the lines of "The future ain't bright, and neither are you two".
* "he was really thinking that Hank McCoy is his hero for doing this"... "the rest of his thoughts are... pretty disgusting"...
that's Wolverine the pervert...
* ok, kidding aside... we now go to...
All New X-men #3
* and with all honesty, i'm confused... maybe this is the start of wreck that Bendis will commit all through out the series... cross your fingers...
* with the time setting "ten days ago"... the Revolutionary Cyke proclaimed the abandoned and former Weapon X Facility will be the new Xavier School (their new homebase)... and because they are considered as fugitives, he thought that it would be a perfect hideout...
* and with the time setting "ten days ago", we will now witness the time when they freed Emma in prison... and the Scott-Emma loveteam died with it... funny, Emma does not even show any gratitude to them for saving her, ok... she's the White Queen and i completely understand her for being angry because Scott betrayed her, blindsided her and took her portion of the PF... but, bringing back the AvX event? blaming Scott for the death of Xavier? that's super late... and Scott should've rebutted, "ok, so you want to admit that it was me who killed Xavier and not the Phoenix? then admit first that it was really you who flirted and goaded Namor to attack Wakanda, it was really you who wanted the X-men to worship you and it was really who wanted to just burn the earth and restart the mutant race!" there are many points that Emma can be angry at Scott but not because of Charles' death... i just hate the script...
* at first, Emma does not want to be part of their team... but because they are fugitives now, she does not have a choice but to be with them... holy sh!t, Bendis... i just hope you'll fix Scott and Emma...
* a powerful confrontation between Scott and Erik... i just wanna see Scott kick Erik's a$s here... if you want someone to be apologize about something, don't be an a$shole by goading him... Erik wants Scott to admit that Scott and only Scott himself (without the influence of the Phoenix) deliberately did all the sh!t that happened in AvX... until Emma stops them...
* climax: present Scott's confrontation with his past self... "what the hell do you think you're doing?" --- a line that makes the O5 Scott more mature than the present one... a satisfying finale, but a very confusing episode as well... is Stuart Immonen's art getting better? or am i just happy that Bachalo's art is not yet seen?
* your thoughts?

* regarding their powers getting messed up, Emma theorizes/explains that it is because of the Phoenix, an after-effect of hosting it... Magneto rebutted he never hosted the PF yet his power is messed up too, Emma explained that Scott might have something to do with it, causing the tension between Scott and Erik...
