Created to come together in time of need to defend any world/galaxy from super beings far too great for standard non-cosmic entities to handle. Basically my version of the 'Galactic Council'
*The original Mar-Vell was inadvertently resurrected during The Infinity Gauntlet/Death storyline, unbeknownst to all of us of course. He deserves a come back imo.
