Alpha Flight: Sasquatch Respect Thread
Introduction:
Marvel comic’s Canadian bruiser started his career in the pages of Alpha Flight and have had countless other appearances since his introduction. Walter gained his powers trying to duplicate the process that created the Hulk, but in reality it opened a dimensional portal that allowed Tanaraq, an Elder God to transform Walter into his avatar. If Walter experiences pain or anger he runs the risk of Tanaraq taking control. Walter has been killed and resurrected in the body of a woman named Wanda and thankfully transformed back to a man. Another Sasquatch appeared in Alpha Flight Vol.2, but it wasn’t Walter but that of the big foot of myth. There is actually a clan of Sasquatches hiding in the forests of British Columbia

Sasquatch uses the thunderclap against a wax figure of Human Torch created by the Manimator. The statues fought with the same abilities as the people the statues were made to look like. He also grabs Thor’s hammer and bashes his head in

Alpha Flight #6 [Vol.2]: Sasquatch II
The actual bigfoot of myth believed to be Walter is figured out by Puck who stumples upon his family. The fist scan shows the durability of this Sasquatch taking a hit from a semi and not even budging from it. This is right after he jumps off the bridge and before he even really gets his feet settled.

Here the new team of Alpha Flight led by the clone of a younger Mac (all though he doesn't know he is a clone yet) and just to note the Sasquatch that rips Chinook in half is not Walter, but the actual bigfoot of myth.

A demon has attacked half of Alpha Flight and changed their headquarters into a bug infestation. The reason the demon is attacking ALpha Flight is due to he wants Shaman's new apperentice, Earthmover. So Shaman calls Wolverine for some backup. Sasquatch and Puck are under the control of the demon Shaman

Mauvais is mad crazy and wants to get revenge against the Gods of the Artic since they have ruined his plans multiple times. So he creates a barrier blocking the gods from this world using the bodies he killed from a tv show [Survivor up North]. The North Gods are the same people as Snowbird, so cutting them off from her will weaken here. He also ressurects demons on the same level as Wendigo and Sasquatch takes it to them

Exiles #56-57: Morbius, Zarathos and Kulan Gath [Tanaraq (Exiles])
Here Heather Hudson finally gives into Tanaraq and lets him take control. Her powers are augemted on a great scale, Tanaraq takes out a super-powered Morbius, takes a full blast from Zarathos, destroys him, and takes out Kulan Gath who is on Dr.Strange's level and who doesn't even feel pain anymore all without little effort. True badass. Gath used his spell to unleash their inner-bad, and their power was twisted and augmented by one’s connection to the supernatural that's why instead of Heather transforming into Sasquatch, Tanaraq was freed

Exiles #56-57: Exiles, Shaman, Doctor Doom [Tanaraq (Exiles])
Tanaraq takes full control of the team and beats most of them will not even trying and later blackmails them to do his biding. He wants the Exiles to go across this relality and asks all the evil genius to help him locate the Timebroker. While the others go do what Tanaraq asks, Beak goes to Canada to locate Shaman for help. Shaman already knew he was coming due to a unlikely source told him prior. So Shaman and Exiles start their plan to rescue Heather from Tanaraq. Here Tanaraq easily manhandles Namora who is class 100, knocks out Doom with one blow, rips Morph in half

I find that interesting that she is considered not as bright as the 616 Sasquatch since she has done some pretty impressive stuff herself. Even currently in the Exiles title she is leading the team from the background even though she lost her powers. Also she is bulletproof as well as regenerative. Wish they would address he was 100 class ton character, even recently he has battled people who are and went toe to toe with them [Current Jugz, who is still class 100]. Also he is super durable even taking armor peircing machine gun fire. So that's wrong.

After Snowbird kills Sasquatch [Tanaraq], they must now go to the Realm of the Great Beasts in order to free Walter's soul. This is a really cool visual design for the land. Just to note: Somon isn't killed, since he later appears several times [basically he is like Loki and tricks them], and Snowbird said she was leaving Earth was just covering up she was going to try to have a family with her husband on Earth.
