Respect The Amalgam Brothers! (The most powerful duo in comic history!)
This thread is dedicated to "The Brothers" whom are the supreme beings that make up all that is in Marvel/DC. They are the embodiment of supreme power, and possibly the most powerful retconned characters ever to exist......
The Spectre and The Living Tribunal are both second in power to God/TOAA in Marvel/DC, and even they know that this new power which they sense, dwarfs their own:
These new powers that Spectre and LT sense are sentient beings that are called "The Brothers". They make up all that is, was, or will ever be in all of Marvel/DC, and for the first time in all of eternity, these beings have become aware of eachothers presence:
After these Brothers become aware of each other, they feel threatened by the others presence, so they make a wager. They will pit they greatest beings from each realm (Marvel and DC) against eachother by placing portals between these places on earth, and whatever realm looses will be wiped from existance:
Here is the history on these Brothers, which explains their supreme power over ALL.......... and so this epic battle between Marvel and DC begins:

After battles between the greatest heroes and villians in Marvel and DC occur, a winner is decided (DC), but for some reason the Brothers are merging into one all-powerful being, which in turn merges Marvel and DC into a unified Amalgam universe:
We later see that the Brothers fusing together and creating the Amalgam universe was a last ditch effort by Spectre and The Living Tribunal, to prevent Marvel from being completely obliterated. The Brothers are not happy about this at all:
With the help of a being called Access, Spectre and LT are able to seperate this Amalgam universe back into Marvel & DC, and momentarily prevent armaggedon:

Spectre and LT are trying to stop The Brothers from their battle destroying all that is in both Marvel and DC, while Captain America, Batman, and Access observe. It is a futile effort on Spectre and LT's behalf:
"We need to go back and form an army!"
"Spectre's more powerful then Billions of Armies, and you see how well he's faring."
Captain America and Batman refuse to just sit there and watch while everything is destroyed. They shout, they plead, they demand to the Brothers, but they fall to a deaf ear:
With one final attack the Brothers threaten to destroy everything that exists in Marvel/DC. Captain America and Batman have their lives flash before their eyes......... This flashes before the eyes of the Brothers as well:
The Brothers witness Batman's tragic past, and his heroic and noble future:
As do they see Captain America transform from a patriotic young boy, into one of the greatest heroes to exist:
"And the Brothers look upon each other as if truly seeing eachother for the first time.."
"Centuries...... Eons pass..."
"And for the first time in recorded and unrecorded history the Brothers speak, and they say the same thing...."
"YOU'VE DONE WELL."

The Brothers have righted all things in their respective realms (Marvel/DC)
"A Billion Billion years have rolled back upon themselves."
"The universes are seperate once more."
"Every being in every universe is humbeled by this experience."
Heres a scan of The Living Tribunal sitting upon his cosmic throne contemplating the course of actions he must take with his "Hooded Spectral Ally" to prevent these two incalculably powerful Brothers from destroying all that is within Marvel and DC:
that's cool as hell -- is that a nod to Lovecraft just for this particular book or is Cthulhu actually an established DC character? I'm only aware of Chthon for Marvel.
