Aurora & Northstar: Respect Thread [Remastered]
Introduction

Marvel comic’s Canadian speedsters started their career in the pages of Alpha Flight and have had countless other appearances in various comics since their introduction. Throughout their history the duo have had many ups and downs from mental issues to even death, but they always seem to rebound from it. Their one of the fastest duos on Marvel earth and have more power and abilities than just their super speed, such as Aurora has so much variety to her power even more than her brother

Very detailed bio, and even mentions the Children of the Vault upgraded the twins were they could reach lightspeed without causing their bodies and the environment harm.

Very old biography of Aurora and some errors such as she has been shown to go faster than even mach 2 and still not get hurt from wind friction. Heck even a 13 year old Aurora was shown going 1800.072 mph

After the operation from Weapon X they gave her new abilities. Once again they did not include her other light abilities such as lightening, concussion blasts, healing light, etc. I also don't know if after the Weapon X upgrades that Northstar is still faster, he always was but I don't know. Official Handbook Of The Marvel Universe - Master Edition #29:
Here is her bio, but this has some problems. I take it after regaining her powers in AF #83 she regained her speed potential of going 99% the speed of light. However, as stated she has better endurance then her brother but he can fly faster. The handbook has her having a faster speed on ground, when that's false since both can move faster running. Problems he always has been stated to be able to go sublight speed in all the handbooks except this one. They also state he has a three in energy projection. Well at this time, he could only cast light with his sister and she still had more variety and power by herself yet she got a 3 as well. Currently he can do the flashbang on his own. Problem Northstar is faster than Aurora always was, but they say he can only go subsonic on the ground when that's wrong. He ran from Montreal to New York State in one second [about to post scans], and on Pg.10 of this thread he runs 2.5km/sec. That's orbital velocity reaching Mach 18.7-Mach 23.3 [1-5 miles per second]. Alpha Flight #1 (Vol.1):
Originally, when the twins made contact, the pair could combine their mutant abilities to emit bursts of light. However, after Aurora chose to have her powers altered by Dr. Walter Langkowski (Sasquatch) to "cloak" her from mutant-detection devices such as Sentinels, she discovered that she could produce light on her own while, touching her brother adversely cancelled the ability. It appears that this may have become undone in recent years, returning this ability to its original state. Here the dup performs it on Tundra

Basically this should happen to all her and Northstar fights. She can move so fast and her punches back a punch even one hit knocked out this burglar out cold. This is a few years after the incident below. What's interesting to note is her superhuman reflexes knew something was wrong, but since for many years she has not used her powers due to the monestry she was in believed it to be the work of the devil and she was beaten for it. So she knew something was wrong, but didn't act.

Just 13 years old, Aurora is fed up with life and wants to end it. [She has split personalities] Upon jumping she finds out she can fly and not only that has incredible speed. For just learning her abilities now she roughly goes mach 2.3. Now that's impressive

Well this is a rough calculation, but I said 1.5 miles and 3 seconds to do it. For all I know it could have been a shorter distance or in a shorter time.

When the evil Pestilence fed off the death and decay within Northstar's body, the illness was greatly worsened. He steadily grew more and more ill until he was almost completely incapacitated. The team went to find the Firefountain a source of magical power which they thought might have been able to cure him. He never reached the Firefountain, as Loki convinced him that his and his Aurora's mother had an Asgardian elf. Northstar was then fooled into believing that he was dying because he could not exist on earth without the light that the twins had once shared. Aurora expelled all of her light into her brother to save him leaving her powers drained, to be dragged off by demons. Northstar then flew to Asgard through a gate opened by Loki. In time Loki was summoned before the higher gods, They Who Sit Above in Shadow. To atone for his trickery he transported Aurora to a monastery. Northstar later gives half of his power back to Aurora and both regain their full power (during the Llan crisis)

Headlok has gained control over half of the Fantastic Four, an entire town and half of the members of Alpha Flight. Now both factions go head to head to see who is be best. Aurora hits Human Torch with her calming light that actually persuades Johnny to flame off, and lucky as he fell he collides into Aurora after she lowers her hands down. Aurora's own light is shown on herself and she breifly changes into her light-form and breaks Headlok's control.

Being exhausted and not being able to use his speed it looks like it's over for him. Until he uses nerve point attacks that Wolverine taught him. After his death the Hand most likely taught him more fighting skills

The second scan shows Northstar traveling 15 miles collecting all the scrap metal once again in the blink of an eye. The final scan is Northstar using his speed traveling 100 miles [160.94 km] in 5 minutes [20 m/min or 32.19km/min] and he wasn't pushing himself

Bull on two accounts, first off Magneto would not be able to grab him that easily. Secondly, "not nearly as fast" as Quicksilver? eh? Northstar has way more speed feats then him such as running more than mach 18.7. Then in the same issue in a matter of moments Northstar rushes into the upper atmosphere to rescue Paulie and lands on a battle cruiser 50 miles off of the Genoshan coast. Ummmm.... he has to be going like escape velocity speed to be able to do something like that. That's faster than mach 32.7
