New Episode 2 Chracters
I've just been checking out the toy fair photos (I'll pressume most of you here have all done the same), and via the medium of primarily hasbro toys (!) getting to grips with some of the new characters seen in AOTC - mainly jedi, and geonosians.
I don't know, it's wierd.
Although these pics by no means give away any plot dtails by the way, you should avoid them if you're not into character spoilers!
Maybe it's just me, but when I think of the jedi I think of bearded men with mullets, wielding light sabers. Alright, granted, Yoda is by no means human-like in appearance, but does any one else find it difficult to imagine all these new creatures as jedi? (this is more from a films-only stand point, and excludes the EU).
I'm talking specifically about characters such as Kit Fisto, Plo Koon and Luminara Unduli . And I really can't see Shaak Ti as a Jed MASTER (of all things). I feel more at home with hooded humans and yoda.
What do you all think?

Well the only reason it's weird is because in the OT we never got to see many Jedi at all. But in the new PT we get to see an earlier part of the story that has never been told until now.

The OT is about the emperor who doesn't like aliens, hence, no one in the army is alien etc.
So it's only naturaly that the one surviving Jedi that was still trackable (not Yoda I take) was humanoid

don't get me wrong, there's shit loads of aliens in the OT. EVERYWHERE in fact. From the cantina on Tatooine, to Vader's wacky ol' bunch of bounty hunters (including the mysterious and twisted ... sorry, the noraml kid, Bobba Fett ), there's all sorts of life forms to be seen, especially during the scenes at Jabba's palace ... although, depending on which version you watch, some closer resembling computer characters than aliens (special edition anyone??)
But, you grow up with a wise old bunch of men as Jedi Warriors in your heart, and now they're all sorts of creatures and species.
It's hard for me to get over, much like you wouldn't expect Han Solo to annouce to the world that he is, in fact, a wookie (although the debates as to whether or not he shagged one once still continue)

thought that, yeah.
The one I'm talking about:
ANH, Ben and Luke sold the speeder and are hurrying to docking bay 94. Someone follows them and grabs a comlink and utters something...
After a while Stormtroopers arrive and that person tells them (and points) where they went.

pawns...
... unless you meant "porns".
The emperor uses them as porn. mm. It's plausable - I suppose when you're THAT old, and ugly, you'd do anything for kicks. And maybe twisted fetishes comes as part of the dark side package.
Beware the dark side of the force! It's evil. REAL evil!
