File size for uploading signatures

Lately, I've been irritated by the fact that the sigs that I make which has a jpg/jpeg file type has not been able to be uploaded for a sig.

The size that I have for the picture is right but I can't for some reason upload the sig.

they didn't upload or they did and you don't see the result?

tried it with a GIF?

Yes I tried it with GIF and it still wouldn't upload right for me.

It said the file was too big, which I don't see how.

Make sure it's less than 30k, that is the maximum size allowed.

That's what I can't understand, 30 K tho i keep resizing and resizing until the sig's so blurry it's ruined, I don't know how you guys get these huge sigs on here with resizing.

hey you know how new users only have certain abilities and what not?

Would it be possible to set it up so Senior users, with say 5000+ posts would be able to use a 35k or 40k sig?

I realize space is an issue, so it's probably not a possiblity....i just figured i'd ask since very few people have that many posts...

you could say that once members have been an active member here for over how many months, then the sig limit may be increased, instead of the post count thing big grin
