Worried Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Uk version - Uncut?

I heard that the UK version had scenes that the US version doesn't. If this is true, how come the US version runs for 95 minutes and the UK version only runs for 93 minutes?

Will someone at least try and answer the poor girls question?

Anyway, I own the UK version of TMNT on DVD (well I bought it for my brothers Birthday, good excuse).

I remember, when I was a kid and had the movie, there were so many different versions of it because it was a violent film meant for kids, so they had to watch what it portrayed.

Anyway, I think the one deleted scene is the bit where Splinter throws Shredder over the edge of the building. In the original UK cut I rmemeber Shredder being thrown and instantly falling. I remember getting hold of an Austrailan copy and it shown the full version - where SPlinter throws Shredder, catches him with a nunchuk, says something, and then drops him.

Maybe that scene is missing from the USA cut? I know on the DVD I have it is the full version with the nunchuk-talky bit at the end.

Well I heard that in the UK they erased all scenes of Michelangelo using his nanchakus, why is beyond me.

I'm sure the US version has that Splinter/Shredder bit, but I'm not american. I'm just worried that if I get the UK version it won't have the scenes with Mikey using his nanchakus and it won't have any good scenes that were orginally cut from the US and might be a waste when I could have just bought the US version that wasn't really any different.

I think a deleted scene was one where Leonardo does a 360 spin with his Katanas in Aprils apartment where he's fighting the Foot-Clan. Also, another one where Leo is fighting with his bandana backwards when training at that old house. Those two scenes I have not seen but have heard about.

The one you mentioned above, the bandana bit was taken out of the film. Not all of it, but most of it. Also, I'm pretty sure the UK version cut out alot of the scenes with Mike using his nunchuks.

i remeber ninja turtles getting alot of shit in the states for the excessive use of weapons. Which is why there was very little fighting violence in the next two sequals. You know, the ninja turtles started as a mature comic, there was no reason to dull it down to a kiddy flick. Thepremise is already corny. I must say though that the original turtles flick is one of my favorites that hold near my heart. great memories from the turtles, i am even one of the ones that went to see there concert smile
Does anyone remember when john woo was interested in making another teenage mutant ninja turtles movie? I thought that could have been so righteous. John woo helimg a turtles movie...NICE!!!

Its because Pal runs faster than NTSC. Pal shows 50 frames per second where NTSC only shows 48. Therefore Pal has a better has a better picture, but the it runs a little too fast.

Which TMNT series are you all talking about. The new or the classic. By the way, I also am remaking the TMNT classic series. Replacing it and adding awesome actions sequences, cool pics, and more. I just put the regular voice and sound over it. I do it, cause I love the classic, especially the theme song. And it's gonna be cool.

I'm not talking about the TV series.

I'm talking about the live-action movie.
