Whats your viewpoin on the fact that the most valuable stem cells are harvested from the fetus of a terminated pregnancy or frozen embryos created by fertility clinics? The embryos were created for couples wanting to concieve but are no longer wanted.
If the embryo's are no longer wanted, then I say it should be up to the couple it they were created for, if they want them to be used for possibly life saving research then it's ok.
It should be the same way with the unborn fetus. It's up to the parent/donor's.
Thats what I thought, I mean if organ donation is legal, then this is really not that far off. When a person dies it is up to their next of kin to decide weather they are going to donate their organs, that is if the decision hasnt already been made by the person.
i dont know too much about it but from the way you describe than yes i would support it since it its using a body from a life that has been denied and using it to benefit the science and health community.
I don't agree with abortions, but if an embryo dies of natural causes, I have no problem with it being used for stem cell research if the parents are ok with it.
