Stop collecting, then get back into again. Ever feel guilty?

Do guys ever collect comics, and then for whatever reasons stop, and then get back into again.

You come back and have no idea what the hell is going on with your character or characters, so you feel kind of crappy because you stopped collecting.

And then you feel like you have to take this massive crusade of buying back issues to catch up. You guys ever feel this way?

I have superman comics from late 1980's to about 1997 (the bulk of my more "complete" collection of Sups, thats what I have the most of anyway). But I don't really have any from 2000-2005, and I really feel like I lost touch with the DC Universe. Or is it one of those things like "you really didn't miss much, things have really havn't changed"?

I'm really debating on getting subscriptions , but I don't know how well that works.

I missed the first issue of that stoyline but still bought the last issue of it anyway and it is a brilliant read. i recomend it to you, a great fight scene IMO. it shows how good Red Skull can be with a little prep..........

Im on the edge right now, I havent collected in years. I think the last series I read was X-men: AoA . I have been wanting to check out spidey again, and from what people say the cable and dead pool comic is great. But i would have to buy to many back issues to figure out whats going on. Cable is fighting silver surfer and all that. Also exiles seems really cool but again how am i supposed to catch up. Someone point me to an online comic shop to see how much it would cost to go back in time

I had some great, original, first-run comics, which in my eternal ignorance, got rid of a long time ago. Man, if I only knew then what I know now...

Your best online comic shop is Ebay I'm afraid.

Like I said, Its a crusade.

I stopped collecting in 1994. At that time I had 40 Superman, 20 batman, 30 Spider-man etc..

Now I have 350 Superman Comics, and hopefully soon 130 batmans.

Comic collecting can be kind of hard work, because you have to constantly be there, in my case Sups, which was every week because at one time he had 5 publishings. when your 13 you only have so much money.
