Can current Supes still make diamonds?

As in, can Post-Crisis Superman squeeze a piece of coal or whatever and produce a diamond? If so, when was the last time he did so?

Heh. Thor once scraped a hammer out of a block of solid uru, and can crush uru in his bear hands. While not Marvel, Mr. Majestic once turned a pencil into a pile of diamond.
