Adamantium vs. Promethium (Marvel)

Marvel, like DC, has it's own version of Promethium metal.

Only, it has different, unique properties.

Which metal would prove more valuable in a character's profile?

Skeleton, weapons, armor etc.

DC has Promethium and Inertron. Inertron was unbreakable to anyone not named Validus who happened to punch through a mountain of the stuff. That compared to PC Superboy and Mon-El who were easily restrained by it a few times.

No he didn't. What he said makes sense- basically what he said was Marvel had a version of promethium called adamantium. Unless your arguing which is a copy of which.

And I don't think anyone can punch through a 'mountain' of adamantium... so does that make it better? Perhaps...

I don't think a PC Kryptonian would nearly kill himself trying to bust out of an adamantium coil either.

Nope, I am talking about Marvel's Promethium.

Marvel Comics
In Marvel Comics, promethium is a magical metal found only in Belasco's dimension known as Otherplace. Removal of the promethium to another dimension will cause Limbo to vanish. The heart of Limbo was once sought by the supervillain Doctor Doom as an inexhaustible energy source for his nation of Latveria, it it currently in the possession of Darkoth.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Promethium_(comics)

Powers/Abilities: Death Metal is immensely strong and powerful--his power source is a combination of magical energy and the nuclear power produced by his cold fusion cardiac device. Composed of a magical metal, "Promethium," he is able to reshape his form as will, forming any number and type of bladed and ballistic weapons.

In Excalibur # 39 (July, 1991), although he starts out with his more familiar armor, Doom eventually takes the Promethium Armor from the mystic realm of Limbo when he uses the soulsword of Illyana Rasputin (Magik), currently in the possession of Kitty Pryde. He battles Demons, the Avengers and Excalibur, in an attempt to turn all of Limbo into promethium alloy, valued as an inexhaustable energy source, for later mining. It looks remarkably like the armor pictured in FF #350 and #352, but the promethium armor is a mystical armor given only to he who weilds the soulsword, and prior to this issue the soul sword was stuck in a rock on Muir Island, near the Excalibur HQ.

Doctor Doom: Conquered Limbo during his attempt to claim its precious promethium
Darkoth: Wrested the Soulsword from Doom and slew S'ym. Assumed rulership of Limbo and wardenship of Soulsword. http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix3/darkoth.htm
