In his (Champ's) encounter with Thanos, why Thanos never wanted to continue to go toe to toe with him.
Thanos, used his energy attack, shield and teleportation abilities, but didn't continue to go mano a mano with Champ. Amazed sometimes, I tell ya'.
Not my definition of a titan when he refuses to back down from a self proclaimed best fighter in the universe. You'd think Thanos would want to "hold the belt".
stalemate. I mean one guy is an expert at fighting perhaps the best known fighter in the galaxy and the other gets amped the more confident he gets. This is gonna last a minute

And Champion a great fighter? Since when? And as for Champion vs. Thanos, Thanos would easily have demolished him without the gem, and he was trying to get the gem away without destroying it during the fight.

Skipped a few panels, champion bursts out of a mountain he crashed into, and Thanos uses his beams on him.

Now, we all know how this fight ended. Champion fell into Thanos's trap and stupidly did a flying punch, which ended up hitting the planet, stranding him in space.
but the scans prove Thanos is the superior pugilist. He not only trained Gamora, he's also 20x smarter than champion.
