I think I made this thread a long time ago.
Leaving MGS/NG fanboyism aside this is a tough fight for both of them.
I say 6/10 Grey Fox because of his higher durability.

I think Ryu wins because of his magic. However if it's in a pure sword fight I give it to Grey Fox 7/10

Ryu's Ninpo is devastating, but Grey Fox is more than fast enough to evade it. Same goes for Cyborg Ninja's arm canon; it won't hit Hayabusa.
As far as combat speed with the swords Grey Fox has him beat, but Hayabusa can hang with him for a while.
The real problem for Hayabusa's is Grey Fox's uber durability.

Ryu will survive a while, give Grey Fox a worthy fight.

Grey Fox better finish Hayabusa fast before he gets one of those crazy medicine fits.
What? It's in his character to freak out every now and then.
And Hayabusa's teleport will be very useful in keeping him alive.
With all of that said I still give it to Grey Fox.
