The "Avada Kedavra" Gauntlet

The "Avada Kedavra" spell is a death curse from the Potterverse that instantly ends all life functions in the body, killing who's ever hit instantly.

Which comic characters can survive it?

Voldemort is the spellcaster. He can only cast it once. The recipient of the attack cannot defend or dodge the spell. He/she must simply take the attack.

1. Captain America
2. Emma Frost (diamond form)
3. Wolverine (only needs to die once for it to count)
4. Donna Troy
5. Superman
6. Hulk
7. Wonder Woman
8. Thor
9. Dr. Strange (no auto-defenses whatsoever)

I don't see why Dr. Strange is the highest when he can't defend himself...

man, not even CLOSE.

1). Dr. Strange can't be killed except if he allows himself to be. When he accepted Death, he defeated it, and thus became the bearer of the Life Ankh. Read Frank Brunner's Dr. Strange run from the mid 70s.

2). He's not an old man, and he's not even close to frail. He took the Black Panther and Mantis on hand to hand and they were amazed at his skill. He stalemated a blood lusted Wolverine hand to hand.

3). Dr. Strange even without any sort of conciousness defenses has taken attacks that include a no-holds barred punch from the Juggernaut, who was SHOCKED that he didn't kill him with it. Strange was fine.

When ever somebody can monolouge that much in a fight with you you are moving to ****ing slow.

THat wolverine was acting bloodlusted he was acting like a ****in zombie grom the early resident evil games

Anyway, it kills Captain America and Wolverine.

No clue about Emma or four or above. Potterverse magic really doesn't have a comic-defined use.

If the spell functions as promised it should kill anyone that needs organs to live. The problem with this is that (to my knowledge) the effectiveness of spells in HarryPotter are limited by the caster not the target where as magic in comics is limited by both.

That's because in the novels, the target is always mundane.

No one in the novels has the physical durability to withstand stars, black holes, and super nova.

The thing is it doesn't have anything to to with physiology. It just kills you. No blemishes. No marks. no damage. Therefore Wolverine or Hulk can't heal back to life and it has nothing to do with durability. It would everyone on the list except maybe Dr. Strange.

And we know this because it has killed someone that has durability comparative to that of Superman?

Because, I mean, something like the omega beams would kill anyone in the potterverse. No blemishes, no physical durability, blah blah blah. However, Superman easily resisted it.

There is a total lack of evidence for either side of this debate. There is no reason to believe that a curse like this would affect Superman, Wonder Woman, or the Hulk in the same way it affects your average human.

Would it work on Apoc? Molecular control makes it hard to call.

Guys like Dr. Fate and Talisman are a gimmie, since they probably are magic resistant.

If the spell kills anyone peak human and under (just going by the nature of it), then what about enhanced humans like Deathstroke or Deadpool? Not counting DP's immortality, could his system recover from something like that?

Deathstroke and Deadpool are very unlikely to survive.

Superman and Wonder Woman are VERY likely to survive.

As is the Hulk and Thor.
