I plan on buying the big hardcover sets. Getting the individuals is just way too hard anymore, for there are no old, used comic stores around where I now live.

Hmm, as far as I know, there isn't a newer series of their comics.

You might be just thinking of reprints, for they were first made in the 50's, and I believe reprinted in either the 70's or 90's, I can't recall.

But yes, they are amazing, and a thousand times scarier than the TV series.

I have the entire Tales from the Crypt , Vault of Horror, and Haunt of fear series. Great series. Also there is a new series that started about two months ago however I was turned off by the bad artwork.

A new series? That's insane! I'll have to check it out!

Yeah, the artwork will probably never be the same. Jack Kamen, Ghastly, you know rest, they'll never be replaced.

Just thought I'd post up a couple cool pictures, The Old Witch, and The Vault Keeper. I don't have any real good pictures of the Crypt Keeper though, so I'm not posting any of him yet.

Do you know if their new series is just entitled Tales From the Crypt, or do they also have The Haunt of Fear and The Vault of Horror?

Ahhhh, I see. I'll have to buy some, or at least check them out.

You said you didn't like the art, but are the stories themselves still good?

I've checked 'em out... the stories are for the most part, rehashes of original plots from the EC series. Decent, clever, but for the most part repetitive and relying on horror comic standard tricks and underpinnings, you know? The art... not so great.
