Fallen Elder God, leader of the Netherrealm, head of the Brotherhood of Shadow. Quan Chi's boss. Royal pain in Rayden and the Elder Gods' sides. Shinnok was a good replacement for Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat 4.

Shinnok sucks? Screw that guy. Shinnok is the man , or rather, the God.
Apparently he would've been invincible had Quan Chi given him the real amulet instead of the duplicate one, as it didn't contain all of the original's powers, according to Shinnok's trading card here.
That's the only reason he was defeated in MK4, apparently.
I also loved the final boss fight with him in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Subzero, even more than the fight with him in MK4. Mythologies Shinnok was more epic, and he got to transform into that giant monster thing after Subzero steals the amulet from him, which required like 5 Polar Blasts to destroy. Now THAT'S a boss.
