Bat-mite is basically a 5th dimensional imp like Mr Mxyltzlk. The main difference between the two is that Mxy bothers Superman, while Bat-mite has a similar obsession with Batman. Apart from that (and the fact that Mxy is a short funny looking man in a bowler hat, while Bat-mite is a short funny looking man wearing a loopy batman costume) the two are the same. They are also exceedingly powerful.

In the World Greatest they were destroying multiverses, and even came into the real world (existing outside comics), and after they had basically destroyed everything decided to call it a day, and with a snap restored it all back.

Surtur is powerful, but Bat-mite would merely wink or snap his fingers or wriggle his toes ....whatever ....and Surtur would be a tick encased in a mountain sized block of ice.

bat-mite is part of mxy's power. this was confirmed after the emperor joker debacle. and mxy clearly wears a derby hat, not a bowler hat, btw. stick out tongue
