Bison's mind rape was shrugged off easily by Ryu who isn't on Gill's level. Gill also survived the Shun Goku Satsu so Bison would probably get WTF PWNED by the Seraphic Wing.
When exactly did Ryu easily shrug off Bison's mind control? As far as I know, he needed Sagat, Sakura & Ken to help him get out of it.
Also, Gill only *survived* as he could resurrect. He was still technically killed by the SGS. Bison himself *survived* the SGS as he came back in SFIV.

It's been a long time since I last played Alpha 3 so I interpreted the event wrong. According to the plot FAQ, the aforemention trio did psyche him out of it.
He was back in SF II before SF IV but it's true that he "survived" the SGS.
Well, if you put it that way, Gen survived SGS.
I'd say Gill is stronger than Gen.
Anyways, for the match, Bison gets raped by Seraphic Wing.
Slide combo + double elbow uppercut, followed by clothesline slam. Rinse and repeat to KO ANY opponent.

I don't know if I'm interpreting your statement wrongly (my apologies if I am), but Bison was hit with the SGS at the 'end' of SFII. He was resurrected in a new body some time between II & IV.
IMO, Gill > Gen as well.
Though Gen truly survived the SGS, a feat that only Gouken has managed repeat. The first time he did so, he was KO'd. Whereas Gill was killed, but he resurrected some time after.
We don't know what Seraphic Wing does. On the off-chance that gameplay damage does translate over to canon, it is supposed to be more damaging than SGS, but KKZ is more damaging than SW I think.
Meh, screw it, we don't know what kind of damage SW does in canon.

Well, Gouken's method of "surviving" the SGS was effective at keeping him alive, although he was comatose for years from it.
However, if gouki's ending is official (and thats a strong possability, sice at least 3 other endings are refferenced to this battle including Gouken's own), Gouken survived a point blank SGS without anything happening whatsoever.
Gouki nailed Gouken with the SGS in their fight all those years back, and while Gouken managed to stay alive, he was still KO'd and left in a coma.
Gouken states that he "regained consciousness" in his SFIV intro. Gouki alludes to Gouken having "awakened" in his SFIV intro.
If Gouken truly has mastered the Power of Nothingness by the time of SFIV, IMO, I can see him surviving the SGS with no ill-effects.

That's true he was resurrected some time between II and IV but apparently the whole thing about him getting SGS'd in SF II is null and void after the whole SF IV anime aftermath trailer. I think the only time he's truly been SGS'd was in Alpha 3 but then there's the whole thing with Charlie so who knows if that's even true. Whenever I have time, I'll have to go over the plot FAQ by Tiamat.
