For all his cosmic knowledge, Surfer is still delightfully ignorant about some things. And without studying the game prior to the match, he'd probably have no idea how to play.

How is he going to do that? in-fact, when has surfer ever done that?

if you're referring to the Cable vs Surfer fight( which has been debunked) surfer didn't remove his abilities, Cable burnt out, that's why he lost...

If anything, Nate has the history of denying/ turning off the powers of others

btw, i highly doubt any of that would be used in a simple game of chess.

Yeah. This is a myth, there is no evidence that surfer can shut the X-Gene off.

You doubt somebody who can transmute atoms matter and energy can't do it. Well how about he slows time so he can counter X-Man's moves because he is moving so slow.
