i like carl davis. he wrote the theme for A&E/BBC's production of pride and prejudice----it's nice, and fits the style of music from that era perfectly.

For those who don't know Alan Silvestri; he composed the music for PREDATOR, PREDATOR II, THE ABYSS and various other movies.
I might add to that list of mine the name of James Horner. Lets not forget him.
Mark Macina is great. His work for THE OUTER LIMITS is wonderful. Mark Macina and John Van Tongeren.
Are there anymore LIVING composers that you love?
