Ip Man almost lost to Twister because he'd never fought an American before. Much less one who was nearly all muscle and outweighed him by at least 80lbs. He took Twister down quick enough once he realized how to fight him, and Bourne isn't as big so Ip won't have the problem of his normal hits doing no damage...which honestly was absolute BS in the first place.

He was casually breaking bones, he sent the Northern guy flying with casual hits, even from the feather duster. I'm pretty sure he killed that one black belt when he cradled him between his knees and jabbed him in the head a couple times. And he was so fast Twister shouldn't have bene able to lay a hit on him as Ip Man in those movies is without a doubt the best fighter not only in Asia, but all of the world. Even Mike Tyson's gonna go down to him in the next movie.

Ip Man dominates other Chinese (and Japanese) styles. But he has had issues with bigger boxers... boxers that Bourne should be able to beat without much difficulty.

And though I will get a lot of flak for saying this, I do believe Bourne beats Ip Man. Ip Man doesn't have the knockout power of Bourne nor does he go for the kind of incapacitating attacks that Bourne does. He will not be prepared for how dirty Bourne fights and he is not as well versed in grappling as Bourne seems to be.
