Satele wasn't even close to her prime, and Darach was exhausted at the point Malgus confronted him.

Ah, I missed the part of the Hope Satele. Still, the brothers take it comfortably.

Darach fatigue is a pretty bad excuse. He went from fighting Malgus and Vindican at the same time to being curbstomped by Malgus alone. Even fatigue wouldn't explain the sudden degradation of his capabilities.
