Maelstrom. His kinetic energy absorption powers were on another level. Literally. He absorbed Earth's kinetic motion and seemingly 'died'. But in reality his body disintegrated and he became a mini abstract (that went on to displace Anomaly btw).

Absolutely brutal. He can even give you a heart attack by stopping your heart. He's done all this on panel by the way (Cosmos In Collision story arc in the Quasar series).

If you find the character interesting, check out the Cosmos in Collision story arc. That dude went on to accumulate enough power to rival IG Thanos (according to Gruenwald at least).

I havent read the character in years, though i recall he juked the Quantum bands once.
Anyhow, thought it might be a viable fight...guess not! Thanks, Zop.
