With *that* in mind, Jason learned to control his internal energies better than Ronnie ever could. In fact, Shadow Thief attempted to kill Jason in the exact same way he killed Ronnie in that ridiculous scene you posted -- only to find out that Jason is a completely different animal:

wow thx. I honestly had no idea there was such a difference between ron and Jason. in reference to the big bang scans you posted, didn't jason end up destroying the universe at the end of Brightest Day? seems like i remember the issue fading to black and jason in a black void. confused

However, we learned in the following issue that he actually didn't destroy the universe. Instead, he just 'ported to the Anti-Matter universe, and was shrouded within a hive of Shadow Demons:

It fooled me at first, too. I remember reading that issue the day it came out, and nearly blowing a load in my pants when I thought FS had been given a feat of that magnitude... Then Johns cock-blocked me the following month.
