Got this on Quora, Laptop heating warning.
"It is a bit unwise to leave an electronic on your chest for extended period of time, especially one that warms quickly. A laptop generally emits non-ionizing radiation which isn’t as alarming as an X-ray. However, the heating of your abdominal and thoracic cavity on a repeated basis can do accumulated damage. Needless say atop much of one thing isn’t good for you.
A healthy suggestion: sit up and rest the laptop on your legs, on your couch or on your table. Beyond potentially hurting your muscles, heart or lungs you are most definitely straining your eyes. P.S. if you have to find yourself questioning something you do that doesn’t seem right, you’re probably right so change it.
Not to be harsh or anything, but even the cellphones are encouraged to hold away from your head when talking on it (about an inch) due to its heating potential, imagine that heating from a laptop?"
A girl on Quora who apparently had a master's health.
